Pii-Maleng has sold water in Kitgum Municipality since April 2024, through two kiosks at Gangdyang and Kony Paco. Every customer pays the same affordable price.
A record for every kiosk, every day
Each kiosk logs an opening and a closing meter reading every day. A supervisor then checks those readings against the cash taken. Sales are in cash today; token and mobile-money payment is not live yet.
- 846 daily kiosk records with meter readings, each one reviewed and approved by a supervisor.
- 99.8% of kiosk-days open and recorded, from January to August 2026.

Why the records matter
Too many rural water points fall out of use once construction ends. Daily records show whether a kiosk is open, how much water it sells and when something needs fixing. They are also the evidence that results-based and safe-water carbon programmes ask for, and we already keep them.
